I live with my wife and two children in a small town outside a small city in Pennsylvania. In many ways, it's a typical suburban life: soccer games and piano lessons, yard work and carpools, PTA and church. (I'm a practicing Lutheran.) As a former molecular biologist, I hold several patents and have published scientific papers on some rather obscure things. I now teach biology and biochemistry for Penn State Berks. As far as writing goes, I've done stints at Bread Loaf and The Gettysburg Review conference for writers, and I'm an active member of Zoetrope Virtual Studio. See the links to my published fiction and some books that I've recently enjoyed. Thanks for visiting!
